
Pedestal Builder

Job Summary
Assemble pedestals and furniture components to specification using hand and power tools. The Builder Assembler follows work orders, verifies part conformity, maintains a safe/clean work area, and supports cross‑training to keep production moving.
Responsibilities Quality & Documentation
Read and interpret tickets/work orders; verify parts meet specifications before assembly.
Perform in‑process checks; do not pass defects downstream; document rework/exceptions per SOPs.
Assembly Operations
Assemble pedestals and other case goods using screwdrivers, hammers, fasteners, and jigs/fixtures.
Stage hardware/components; ensure counts and alignment; torque/fit to standard.
Support cross‑training; assist other areas as needed to meet schedule.
Safety & Housekeeping
Comply with all safety rules and PPE; keep tools in good condition and guards in place.
Maintain a clean, organized station; remove debris and return tools at the end of the shift.
Material Handling
Lift, push, and pull parts up to 50 lbs; move carts/pallets safely.
Coordinate with material movers to stage next orders and prevent bottlenecks.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team.
Ability to use hand tools safely; read work orders; measure accurately (fractions/decimals).
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive standing/walking tasks.
1+ year assembly experience and/or prior manufacturing environment experience.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Production environment with wood dust, noise, moving/mechanical equipment; properly wear required PPE.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, gripping, pushing/pulling, and material handling.
Benefits 401K with 50% match up to 3% of salary
