Ready to move your career forward? As a Technician at Penske, you’ll do exactly that. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.
Shift Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Main Responsibilities
Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision.
Repair and troubleshoot components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, and more.
Keep work area clean and safe.
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred).
Experienced with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Valid driver’s license required.
Problem‑solving ability.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Teamwork skills.
Willing to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and understand specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and other information established by Penske management.
Ability to comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, regulated by DOT, with required driver qualification file; includes annual MVR, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History, etc. CDL holders subject to FMCSA clearance.
Willingness to travel within district, attend required schedule, and complete background and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
Throughout the work shift, must move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, sit for extended periods.
Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, operate tools or controls.
Must work safely at heights with ladders and elevated platforms.
Must work safely in all weather conditions.
Must navigate workplace with frequent large truck movements; require good vision and hearing.
Must lift or move up to 50lb (23kg) regularly, and up to 100lb (45kg) occasionally; also push/pull tires exceeding 100lb.
