Job Summary Tech at Penske: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles, help customers keep vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities
Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision and in a timely manner.
Repair and troubleshoot components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
Keep work area clean and safe.
Log, research, and complete repairs using Penske’s tools and technologies, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred).
Experience using tools of the trade (diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools).
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to solve problems.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Willingness to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions.
Basic computer skills.
Follow instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations set by Penske management.
Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool and PPE use.
Regular, predictable, full attendance essential.
Driver qualification file maintenance as required by DOT.
Willingness to travel for customers, training sites, and required location.
Background screening and drug screening required.
Physical Requirements
Frequently move, stand, walk, climb, bend, sit during shift.
Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle tools or controls.
Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
Work safely in all weather conditions.
Ability to see and hear for safe navigation near large trucks.
Lift up to 50lb/23kg regularly, up to 100lb/45kg occasionally.
