Key Qualifications
6 Years of Diesel Mechanic Experience
6 Years of CNG Experience
Waste Industry Experience as a Mechanic
4 years of relevant work experience
A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
Over 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

Normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at any of our Upper MidWest locations
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Perform safety checks on vehicles – safety of every single employee and the community.
Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constantly standing, walking, grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.

Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes; inside garage and outdoors, inclement weather, heat and humidity.
Perform in both inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outside conditions.
