CNC Machinist – VTL (FANUC)

We are seeking an experienced VTL Machinist with FANUC control experience for precision manufacturing opportunities in Southeast Wisconsin. This role involves operating large-scale vertical lathes for large / heavy components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and operate VTL equipment with FANUC controls

Program and edit at the machine

Machine large diameter workpieces

Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T

Perform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring equipment

Select proper tooling and establish tool offsets

Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed

Maintain equipment and ensure proper operation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of VTL machining experience

Proficiency with FANUC controls

Experience with large bore measuring equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Mechanical aptitude & problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with large-diameter workpieces

Knowledge of crane operation and rigging

Previous experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing

Understanding of metallurgy and material properties
