Job Responsibilities
Identify a variety of wood species products, including but not limited to cherry, mahogany, oak, maple, birch, and veneers, and make grade-related decisions on a daily basis based on Stickley standards.
Report to supervisor or work group leader for daily directions and promptly report any questions or problems.
Read, comprehend, and scan production tickets.
Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
Apply toners and sealers on furniture to achieve desired finishes.
Work safely and efficiently per specifications, and when no other jobs are noted as needed, line up jobs in a manner that minimizes setup time.
Operate assigned machines/tools such as spray guns and respiratory mask.
Physical Job Requirements
Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including rough and fine mills, storage, distribution, office areas, retail selling areas, and the outside perimeter of the building.
Move objects up to and exceeding 200 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
Wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.
Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a meal break.
Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions.
