This position will be on the 2nd Shift, Monday‑Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. It requires a self‑motivated leader to oversee the fast‑paced daily operations of the Press Brake Cell.
Pay Range Base pay range:
$60,000.00 / yr – $75,000.00 / yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of Press Brake operations, including fabrication and processing. Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products on‑time and per schedule.
Work with Engineering to implement procedures while increasing efficiency through continuous improvement processes.
Create accountability by establishing performance metrics and goals for production, and coordinate a plan to meet those goals.
First shift to second shift hand‑off.
Implement team‑based training for all operators.
Responsible to meet or exceed manufacturing schedules and deadlines as well as communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the press brake department.
Supervisory responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring work, providing communication, feedback and ongoing support, performance reviews, career development, disciplines and resolving issues in accordance with applicable laws and/or company policy. Monitors and ensures a positive work environment for employees.
Establish workflow for all manufacturing activities, including coordinating activity with other departments, development of manufacturing plans, identifying material, facility, equipment and tooling needs, and resolving manufacturing and maintenance problems.
Direct production activities in accordance with production schedules, and established priorities, ensuring maximum utilization of assigned resources, machines, personnel, and materials.
Ensure the manufacturing organization is fully compliant with all regulatory authorities, customer, and applicable workplace safety programs and requirements.
Work with quality department and engineering to assure company and customer quality standards are being met throughout the production process.
Ensure all work is accomplished using appropriate data, tools, and measuring equipment and follows established procedures.
Ensure machine maintenance is accomplished and coordinate with maintenance department to establish preventive maintenance program to minimize schedule disruptions.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure all manufacturing and machining operations are fully supported, establish priorities, and create strategic long‑term plans to address future needs.
Assist in development of budget plans, including headcount, tooling and machine requirements, etc. and provide input on cost reduction initiative programs.
All other tasks associated with the company’s production processes.
