Job Title: Commercial Electrician We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in commercial electrical work, capable of pulling and running wire in new commercial construction, maintaining equipment and wiring, and installing/bending conduit or circuit breakers. Recent experience within the last year is essential.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.

Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

Upgrade existing wiring.

Read and interpret blueprints.

Install and replace fuse boxes.

Install new lighting.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in electrical work, including conduit, wiring, and troubleshooting.

Experience in pulling wire and cable, construction, blueprint reading, and conduit bending.

Ability to run and bend pipe using a pipe bender.

Experience with PVC and steel or carbon metal pipe.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with basic hand tools and a cordless drill is a plus.

Must have reliable transportation.

Comfortable working at heights.

Work Environment The work will be performed on a new construction commercial job site. The work schedule is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours a week. Candidates must bring all their electrical tools and wear appropriate PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, jeans, and a t‑shirt. The work environment requires comfort with working at heights.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
