Position: Commercial ElectricianLocation: Jacksonville, FLPay Rate: $32$36 per hour (DOE)Hours: 4050 per week
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Bend, cut, thread, and install EMT conduit (½” to 1″) using hand and mechanical benders.
Pull wire and cable through conduit and electrical raceways.
Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting systems.
Test electrical systems using multimeters and circuit testers to ensure safety and functionality.
Adhere to local and national electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
Collaborate with project managers, other electricians, and tradespeople to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state-issued journeyman or master electrician license (if required by location).
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
Skilled in bending and installing EMT conduit (½” to 1″) with precision.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders or lifts.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
