Position Description Immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑Time Experienced Mid‑Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet.

The role requires experience in heavy‑duty vehicle maintenance and repair.

Benefits

Hourly Pay: $29.50 per hour

Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification up to $700

Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter

Sign‑On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, Third Shift 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

Annual Merit Pay increases each year

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Vocational or Technical Certification or Post‑Secondary degree preferred

Basic tools required

Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)

Two (2) years or more of combined classroom training and work experience preferred

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A preferred

Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire

Pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties

Perform standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections

Execute preventive maintenance tasks

Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable

Identify root cause of basic failures and perform required repairs

Replace defective components as instructed

Perform facility maintenance duties

Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints once a task is assigned

Utilize key functions of the Shop Management System and electronic documentation

Work in accordance with all federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)

Perform other support duties as required to support operations (e.g., Service Island support)
