Laminator / Gel Coat Sprayer – AquaWorx at PlayCore

Responsibilities
Apply gel coat to molds in a consistent, even, and precise manner.
Mix, match, and adjust gel coat materials to correct color, viscosity, and spray consistency.
Inspect molds before spraying to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
Maintain spray equipment, hoses, guns, and pumps to ensure proper function.
Fiberglass Lamination
Cut, place, and roll fiberglass materials to reinforce molded parts.
Ensure proper wet‑out of fiberglass materials with resin.
Identify dry spots, air pockets, or defects and correct them.
Monitor cure times and ensure parts meet company and client specifications.
Quality & Safety
Perform visual inspections on finished products for defects, thickness, and uniformity.
Accurately document materials used, production counts, and batch information.
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements for spray operations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Equipment & Maintenance
Clean spray guns and equipment at the end of each shift.
Report equipment issues to the supervisor and assist with troubleshooting.
Ensure proper storage of chemicals and materials according to safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Previous experience in gel coat spraying or fiberglass lamination preferred.
Familiarity with spray guns, resin systems, gel coat materials, and lamination tools.
Ability to read and understand production instructions and measurements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Must be able to stand for long periods, lift to 50 lbs., and work in warm manufacturing conditions.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of spray equipment operation and maintenance.
Understanding of fiberglass and resin techniques.
Strong hand‑eye coordination.
Quality‑focused mindset.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
