Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Trusts & Estates Paralegal for our Corporate Department in our Chicago, Atlanta, Raleigh, Winston, Dallas, Houston, New York and Washington, DC offices. Under the supervision of attorneys, the Trusts & Estates Paralegal will provide support for all types of corporate and commercial transactions, operating as part of a team to deliver high‑level service to both internal and external clients.

This is a full‑time, regular position with a multi‑faced health benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, retirement plans, holidays and paid time off. A hybrid work schedule is offered, combining in‑office days with remote work days. The pay range for this position is $42.41 to $80.56 per hour, depending on location.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the daily trust administration for a variety of clients (e.g., properly managing accounts, preparing letters, transferring forms, etc.).

Assist in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and both basic and advanced trusts.

Help manage and organize estate and probate files.

Prepare accounting and financial statements.

Docket court documents.

File and obtain records with courts and government offices.

Proofread documents for spelling, grammatical, and formatting errors.

Communicate directly with clients to provide updates or assist with accounting and tax needs.

Knowledge/Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Paralegal certification preferred.

Minimum three years of relevant professional experience with progressive responsibility managing client trust accounts.

Law firm experience preferred.

High level of proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Lexis/Nexis, and other internet research tools.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi‑task.

Highly effective written and oral communications.

Creative problem‑solving abilities.

Work independently and take initiative to move projects to conclusion.

Maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.

Reliable, dependable team player.

Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Ability to perform well under pressure.
