Concrete Finisher / Form Carpenter — Water & Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Tallahassee, FL

We’re looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher / Form Carpenter to join our field team supporting water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects throughout North Florida.
This role is critical to the quality, durability, and success of our concrete structures. You’ll work as part of a skilled crew performing formwork, placement, and finishing on complex civil construction projects where precision, safety, and teamwork matter.
What You’ll Do
Build, set, and strip concrete forms using lumber, plywood, and forming systems
Read and interpret plans, details, and dimensions to lay out accurate formwork
Install reinforcing steel, embeds, sleeves, and block-outs
Pour, consolidate, screed, and finish concrete to specification
Perform concrete finishing for structural, flatwork, and related civil scopes
Jobsite Support
Safely operate hand and power tools (saws, drills, grinders, hammers, vibrators)
Assist with material handling, grade preparation, and site setup
Erect and work from scaffolding and ladders as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Safety & Quality
Follow Petticoat-Schmitt and OSHA safety standards at all times
Identify, report, and correct hazards or near-miss conditions
Take pride in craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For – Experience & Skills
Minimum 2+ years of experience in heavy civil or structural concrete work
Proven experience forming, pouring, and finishing concrete
Ability to read blueprints and layout work accurately
Strong understanding of safe tool and equipment operation
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Work Schedule & Location
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Overtime and occasional Saturdays as project needs require
Work performed within approximately a 70-mile radius of Tallahassee, FL
