As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, assisting with the administration of medications and providing compassionate care to our residents. Location: Birmingham, AL Company: Highlands Rehabilitation and Wellness Center Responsibilities: Administer medications to residents as directed by licensed nursing staff Monitor and report any adverse reactions to medications Assist with vital signs and record keeping Support residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation Demonstrate a strong understanding of infection control and safety protocols Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs Requirements: Current Certified Medication Aide certification High school diploma or equivalent required 0 years of experience; training or experience in a healthcare setting preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care What We Offer: A dynamic and supportive work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development A strong sense of purpose and fulfillment in knowing you are making a positive impact on the lives of others
