Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting pay will be $15.00 to $15.25 depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours range between 8–10 hours per week.
Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Use a Hallmark‑provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory. Technology usage is critical for communication, reporting, surveys, and merchandising activities. Maintain a courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
Holiday support: During peak seasonal periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), expect additional days and extended hours. Occasionally work on the actual holiday or during weekends.
Department resets: Participate in installations and renovations such as building Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance; may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers in the Hallmark field organization as needed across territories.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry merchandise and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand regularly, and may need to climb stairs or use ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Read, write, and understand English.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Operate a digital hand‑held device to read documents and interpret information.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
