Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with other products from other companies.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between 12 - 20 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark and other product inventory using Hallmark’s mobile device. Use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer required surveys.
Holiday support: work additional days and extended hours during holiday periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the actual holiday itself, including weekends.
Department resets: assist with installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. You will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
One Team Vision: work as part of a network of merchandisers who support each other in their territories.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must be able to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
Read, write, and understand English.
Can lift 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Can operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents.
Has access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
Has reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
