Full‑time, Exempt

Purpose Manage and direct the development, analysis, evaluation, and modeling of actuarial and predictive solutions to support the company’s financial profitability and production goals. Lead projects, provide strategic direction, and act as a high‑level technical expert across multiple functional areas.

Roles & Responsibilities

Complete actuarial/predictive modeling analyses (rate filings, ultimate loss projections, pricing studies, risk capital modeling, portfolio analysis, research projects).

Lead projects requiring multiple resources and coordinate priorities for actuarial/predictive modeling resources.

Direct data preparation, identify complex data and operational issues, and take action to address them.

Manage communication, documentation, and coordination between actuarial departments and internal/external stakeholders (business units, IT, etc.).

Develop new methodologies, products, and procedures; maintain current knowledge of industry trends.

Peer review technical actuarial/predictive modeling work, provide constructive feedback, and coach less experienced employees.

Participate in training others (underwriters, product analysts, accountants, actuaries, claims associates) on model usage and interpretation of results.

Manage work of non‑direct‑report staff including actuaries, predictive modelers, programmers, and support staff.

Participate in Actuarial Exams and meet continuing education requirements per AIA US Qualification Standard.

Ensure all work adheres to applicable Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOP).

Maintain expert technical skills, adapt to changing product dynamics, and apply judgment to complex, high‑profile issues.

Required Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and actuarial software for reserving, ratemaking, pricing, modeling stochastic distributions, or data analysis.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience At least six (6) years of (re)insurance/actuarial experience, capable of managing and directing actuarial or predictive modeling projects at a high technical level.

Education, Certifications & Designations

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field involving modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis.

Member of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) with attainment of Associateship.

Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
