Job Details Position Overview:
Join our dynamic culinary team at Mount Southington! We are seeking an experienced and passionate Line Cook to prepare high-quality meals in a fast‑paced, mountain‑inspired restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working with fresh ingredients, and can deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests after a day on the slopes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with daily kitchen operations, including prepping ingredients, setting up stations, and monitoring inventory.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely food service during peak ski season hours.
Follow all food‑handling and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and labeling practices.
Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef with special events, menu development, and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 2‑3 years as a line cook in a high‑volume restaurant.
Skills:
Strong knife skills, understanding of cooking techniques, and ability to execute dishes under pressure.
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and food safety regulations.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for food and mountain culture is a plus!
