Shift Details Monday through Friday; 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (during school year); Monday through Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (during the summer)

SUMMARY Maintain a clean and neat school facility and grounds for students, teachers, staff and members of the community in order to protect their health and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean designated spaces, equipment and materials
Perform room and equipment set‑up and breakdown for activities and events
Perform seasonal athletic fields and general grounds work
Perform general labor functions including unloading bulk material from trucks
Maintain building and grounds security
Report building, grounds, and equipment conditions that may need remedied or repaired
Participate in fire and emergency drills, know emergency procedures and the location and use of first‑aid and fire fighting equipment
Move furniture and equipment
Assist visitors utilizing the facilities
Responsible for the preservation and maintenance of assigned tools and equipment, as well as assist in the repair of equipment and facilities
Operate various floor equipment, including battery‑powered auto‑scrubbers/buffers and high‑speed/high torque propane burnishers
Perform snow‑removal, both operation of fuel‑powered snow removal equipment and manual removal using shovel
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum of one (1) year work experience as a custodian and/or groundskeeper, preferred.
High School diploma or GED certificate.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, students, staff, administrators and community members.
Exhibit effective communication skills.
Being proper stewards of district property, materials and equipment.
Work with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
Ability to perform duties with an awareness of all inspection regulations, safety codes and district requirements and school board policies.
Ability to push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
Successful candidate will be required to take
post‑offer; pre‑employment drug test and work capacity evaluation
( WCE ). The WCE includes various physical attributes including
push, pull, lift and carry .
