Part-Time Recreation Leader _ Gymnastics
Position: Part‑time recreation leader for gymnastics. Location: Gynastic Center, 542 Fairground Street SE, Marietta, GA 30060. Contact phone: 770‑528‑8475.
There are four vacant positions within the Parks department. The role requires working varied hours Monday through Saturday, including nights and weekends. Employees will also be responsible for setting up and cleaning class equipment, disinfecting common areas, and assisting with restroom maintenance.
Essential Functions
Provide customer‑service functions: deliver information or assistance regarding services, activities, forms, procedures, fees, or other issues; respond to routine questions and complaints; research problems, initiate resolution, and refer appropriate personnel.
Process participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services: receive requests, review registration forms, enter data into online database and calendars, collect fees, and maintain documentation.
Prepare facilities according to daily schedule: open/close facility, unlock/lock doors, operate lights, disarm alarm, set up/tear down tables, chairs, etc., and perform routine cleaning duties such as emptying trash and sweeping floors.
Maintain attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances for this position.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
If assigned to the gymnastics division: teach instructional gymnastics classes appropriate to age and skill level, prepare class lesson plans, take attendance, evaluate progress, and recommend advancement.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by experience in any field working with children or as an instructor/coach or athlete.
Physical Abilities
Exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in evaluating information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria.
Sensory Requirements
Perceive and discriminate colors, sounds, tastes, odors, depth, texture, visual cues or signals; communicate orally.
Environmental Factors
Exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, smoke, noise extremes, and electric currents.
