LEAD COOK
As a True Friends Lead Cook, you'll lead and inspire our Foodservice team while actively participating in meal preparation and cooking. You'll help maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment and play a key role in creating nourishing meals that fuel unforgettable experiences for campers, guests, and staff. This is a hands‑on, rewarding role where your leadership and culinary skills make a meaningful impact.
Schedule:
Part‑time, Year‑Round, Weekend/Weekday, Day/Evening
Pay:
$17.71 p/hr

How You’ll Contribute:
Supervise, train, and guide other food service employees
Monitor and manage kitchen inventory
Perform opening and/or closing duties for kitchen and dining area
Communicate food service updates, needs, and concerns to the supervisor
Prepare, cook, bake, and serve meals in alignment with menus, recipes, and production requirements
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas
Clear, wash, dry, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher
Set up and reset the dining area for meal servicesPerforms other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Must be able to pass an organizational background study
Minimum age of 18 years or older
Must be able to consistently work on weekends
Previous food service experience required, with knowledge of proper food handling procedures
Supervisory experience preferred
Hold or be willing to acquire MN Department of Health Food Managers License
Physical demands
Ability to see, hear, and communicate verbally
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, and manage movement continually during working hours
Ability to feel objects and use fingers to operate tools and controls
