PPM Inc. is seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic (AOR) for Aiken, SC. The Plant Mechanic will perform maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives. Rotating shifts, overtime, and safe, customer‑focused operations are required. Responsibilities
Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, fabrication, removal, and replacement of equipment components. Use drawings and technical publications to diagnose issues. Maintain safety procedures and customer rules. Contribute to continuous improvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the constant improvement, fabrication, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment. Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. Ability to communicate in English (verbal & written) on technical matters. Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. Valid driver’s license. Industrial maintenance experience. Ability to work independently. Basic computer skills. Basic electrical skills. Complete set of mechanic tools (company provides specialized tools). Proficiency in all the above areas. Preferred Experience
3+ years of PM and industrial or commercial repair experience. 2–3 years of metal fabrication experience. Technical school training or degree. PLC experience. Welding experience. Physical Demands
Complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign. Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. Full strength and stamina for technical duties. Move in confined spaces and uneven areas. Full range of motion. Climb and maintain balance on ladders. Adequate hearing for voice commands and alerts. Visual acuity, depth perception, color discrimination for heights and uneven surfaces.
