Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced
Civil Litigation Paralegal , to join our winning team in Providence.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for organizing and reviewing case files, ensuring everything is in place for attorneys to hit the ground running along with preparing pleadings, manage discovery requests, and coordinate subpoenas. Additionally, you’ll work closely with attorneys to summarize depositions, analyze documents, and keep cases on track with deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
2-3 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, preferred but not required
Strong understanding of Rhode Island court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
Experience drafting and preparing pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions
Proven ability to review, analyze, and summarize depositions, and other key documents
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF editing tools (Bates stamping, file merging/splitting), and case management software
Ability to manage multiple cases, track deadlines, and stay organized
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and court personnel
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Familiarity document management best practices
Strong research abilities, including use of legal research platforms (e.g., Lexis, Westlaw)
