Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent from a recognized educational institution
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in golf course grounds work
Two (2) year certification preferred
Ability to obtain all necessary spraying licenses within the probationary period
Understanding of irrigation principles and management
State of Illinois Class D Driver’s License (within 30 days of hire)
State of Illinois Applicators License for Turfgrass and Ornamentals (within 30 days of hire)
Special Requirements Employees of the City must establish their principal residence within forty-five (45) miles of the City of Danville corporate limits within six (6) months following successful completion of their probationary period.
Employees of the City of Danville are expected to be honest, courteous, and helpful to the public and handle matters in confidence. The City Council has adopted a “Code of Ethics” that is applicable to all employees and officers of the City.
