Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a commitment to quality, and the ability to maintain efficient and compliant food service operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise all deli department operations to ensure exceptional product quality, service standards, and operational efficiency.

Manage the full ordering and inventory process, ensuring appropriate stock levels and minimizing waste.

Lead the development, planning, and execution of deli menu offerings, including seasonal and specialty items.

Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate deli staff to maintain a high‑performing, cohesive team.

Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and smooth department workflow.

Enforce all health, safety, and food handling regulations in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Maintain proper sanitation, organization, and equipment upkeep across the deli department.

Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism to support a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in deli management, food service supervision, or related leadership roles.

Strong working knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.

Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while upholding high standards of quality and service.

Proficiency in inventory management and basic point‑of‑sale systems.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs as needed.

Capability to work safely with deli equipment, including slicers and knives.

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits Hourly Rate: $24–$28, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: Full‑time; availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
