Job Overview We are looking for a seasoned tax manager or senior manager to join our business tax team. This practice focuses on closely held family groups and their individual owners. It's relationship heavy and never boring. If you think of yourself as a generalist who leans heavily toward flow‑through entities but still understands how they flow through to a 1040, this could be your role.

Work Arrangement Our tax and audit teams may be spread across the country, but they work together seamlessly and successfully — unlike many competitors, we have not had an RTO mandate. We would love for this position to be situated locally in the Portland or Seattle market; you will work with local business leaders and must prioritize those candidates. If you are interested in moving to Portland, we will help cover the cost—please indicate this on your resume or cover letter.

Culture and Expectations At Perkins, the leadership team values a people‑first culture that respects time, values contributions, and supports a sustainable career. Full‑time managers target 1,375 charge hours; senior managers target 1,350 charge hours (2,300 total hours annually). During peak season you can expect at least 50 charge hours per week, but you will not be doing it alone. We collaborate, support each other, and finish strong together.

Time Off We provide ample time off: 5 weeks of PTO, 14.5 paid holidays, and paid leave options including parental leave.

Career Development Our mentorship programs and open‑door policy give you tools and resources to do your best work. We offer self‑selected development courses, career coaches, and a "choose your own adventure" approach to career development.
