Rehabilitation Specialist – Part-Time Position Supporting Grand Rapids and Surrounding Areas
Responsibilities
Assess resident needs and design, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation programs.
Perform skill training, cognitive remediation, job coaching, and behavior management in accordance with treatment plans.
Reinforce appropriate behavior and skills through direct feedback, role‑playing, modeling, and behavior modification techniques across residential, community, and day/vocational settings.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and evaluating social, emotional, recreational, vocational, and other therapeutic programs for individuals served.
Prepare communication books, treatment plans, and related clinical documentation.
Arrange or transport individuals served to all planned activities in the community.
Qualifications
High School Diploma with 3 years of rehabilitation experience, or Associate’s Degree/technical certification/licensure with 1 year of related experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in related field with no experience required.
Valid driver’s license, current registration, and insurance.
Effective problem‑solving skills, excellent communication skills, and acute attention to detail.
Reliable, responsible attitude and compassionate approach.
Commitment to quality in everything performed.
