Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
My client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join their Private Credit Team in New York. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Restructuring, Distressed, or Special Situations who have studied at a top‑tier school and have worked at a leading company. This position is fully in‑person and offers competitive compensation along with comprehensive health, PTO, and retirement benefits.
Analyst Key Responsibilities
Source and evaluate new private credit investment opportunities
Conduct deep company and industry research, including financial statement analysis, market dynamics, competitive positioning, and macro/regulatory factors
Build and maintain financial models (cash flow, credit underwriting, scenario and sensitivity analyses) to assess risk and return
Prepare credit memoranda outlining investment rationale, risks, downside scenarios, covenant packages, and proposed deal structures
Support due diligence by coordinating data rooms, working with external advisors, and reviewing financial, legal, and operational materials
Contribute to investment committee presentations and present findings internally
Monitor portfolio companies by tracking performance, covenant compliance, and early warning risk indicators
Assist with portfolio reviews, valuation updates, and ongoing reporting to senior leadership
Associate Key Responsibilities
Lead new credit transactions from sourcing to underwriting, negotiation, closing, and funding
Build and analyze complex financial models, run sensitivity/downside analyses, and structure credit facilities or hybrid instruments
Manage due diligence, coordinating with advisors, internal teams, and target company management
Draft and present investment proposals and credit memos for internal approval
Negotiate and structure credit documentation, covenants, and financing terms
Monitor portfolio performance, track covenant compliance, and drive value‑add initiatives
Source proprietary deal flow and build relationships with sponsors, intermediaries, and investment banks
Collaborate with senior leadership to leverage BC Partners' platform for structuring and value creation
Support opportunistic credit strategies, including structured equity, asset‑backed financing, and distressed credit opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance
1-3 years of experience (Analyst)
3-5 years of experience (Associate)
