Judgement Processing Senior Specialist

located in

Brooklyn, OH 44144

for a 6‑month contract with a pay rate of $20–$22 per hour.

Responsibilities

Perform immediate account searches in response to complex specialty order cases using system data to determine account information and balance.

Identify and enforce appropriate holds or freezes on accounts in accordance with federal and state statutes and court‑mandated instructions.

Process immediate turnover of funds or move funds to a bank holding account for future remittance.

Prepare formal “Answers to Complaints” on behalf of Key’s Litigation Counsel and ensure proper filing to the court and all appropriate parties.

Compose answers and correspondence, disclosures to courts, attorneys/agents, and clients within established deadlines.

Assure case closing processes are completed as outlined in procedures.

Log incoming legal documents accurately and timely into JPex according to procedures and add appropriate comments for difficult cases.

Review, log, and identify proper ownership for all documents and establish accountability across business lines.

Research and respond to SRTS and TCS complaints involving release of funds, collaborating with attorneys, legal department, and account officers.

Serve as risk control point for the department by performing detailed quality review control on large dollar orders.

Perform quality review and certification process on data match files containing confidential client account information.

Ensure compliance by executing official bank check requests and mailing them to comply with garnishments, leaves, executions, and various legal orders.

Review complex settlement and court‑ordered documents to identify and recommend appropriate accounts and amounts to be released.

Accurately file case folders and assist in offsite record preparation.

Perform end‑of‑day APA balancing and import; identify and correct discrepancies to ensure a balanced file is posted.

Participate in team huddles, staff meetings, and departmental meetings to provide recommendations for enhancements to procedures.

Perform assigned duties for department backup coverage, new employee training, JPex fax distribution, testing, and special projects.

Accurately report volume and daily time spent performing duties to capture and report statistical data within department deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Extensive knowledge and experience collaborating with legal documents and system applications containing detailed customer account data; full understanding of banking products and services; two‑year experience in a financial organization preferred.

Experience performing monetary transactions timely and accurately.

Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail and the ability to identify required actions.

Ability to work with all levels of internal and external clients professionally and maintain confidentiality of case details.

Working knowledge of general ledger for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expense in banking; experience with debit and credit entries and proper offsets required in a balancing process.

High degree of accuracy in a high‑risk environment.

Ability to accurately apply procedures to legal documentation and data.

Self‑management of multiple tasks and case assignments simultaneously without losing focus, with disciplined organization of priorities.

Knowledge of banking regulations, state and federal laws pertaining to legal orders such as garnishments, IRS and state levies, restraining notices, and orders to withhold.

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and other system applications for letters, spreadsheets, and department reports.

Ability to perform high‑volume 10‑key input by touch using a numeric keypad.

Adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and directions with a continuous improvement mindset.
