Job Overview: As a Field Merchandiser, you work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as Hallmark's face. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may occasionally work with other product lines in serviced stores.
Salary and Schedule
Starting hourly pay: $14.00 to $16.00 depending on experience.
Eligible for annual pay increases.
Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
Average weekly hours: 8–11 hours.
Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory. Communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interact politely with store employees, management, and customers.
Holiday support:
Provide additional coverage during high‑demand holidays (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), including possible work on the holiday itself.
Department resets:
Join a team for installations, fixture building, and card department relocations. Notification typically two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers as needed across territories.
Physical Requirements
Must lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
Must push, pull, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 lbs throughout the day and up to 50 lbs on occasion.
Must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
Good reading, writing, and English comprehension.
Ability to operate a digital handheld device.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Reliable transportation for travel between stores.
