new Sydney Fish Market , is seeking a skilled and passionate
Sushi Maker
to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience in traditional and modern sushi preparation, including
nigiri, aburi , and general sushi items, who takes pride in quality, precision, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities Prepare a wide range of sushi items including
nigiri, aburi sushi, rolls, sashimi, and other general sushi
Handle and prepare fresh seafood to a high standard
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all sushi products
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Work efficiently during busy service periods
About You Minimum 1 year experience
as a Sushi Maker
Proven ability to prepare
nigiri, aburi, and general sushi
Confident working with fresh, premium seafood
Strong knife skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a fast‑paced environment
Passion for sushi and Japanese cuisine
