What this job can offer you This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Senior Product Designer – Pay Ecosystem. Senior designers at Remote are highly experienced and masters of their end‑to‑end design craft, autonomously owning design for a dev team or feature area while supported by a larger team. The payroll team builds experiences that empower our customers to pay anyone, anywhere safely and compliantly. The role is one of our most strategically important and high‑profile teams. You will be challenged with fascinating, complex and meaty design problems requiring primary research, robust strategy, innovative concepts and simple yet brilliant execution.

What you bring

An individual contributor with an impressive portfolio of product design work demonstrating maturity across the end‑to‑end design process, showcasing your ability to identify and understand problems and deliver delightful, well‑crafted UI with tangible impact on users.

Persuasive communication skills that help you build strong narratives around your design work, provide direction and guidance to others, and collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders – fluent written and spoken English.

A systems thinker who champions holistic thinking, is comfortable in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment, and has a work history that demonstrates autonomous ownership of complex domains or multiple projects.

Strong evidence of being an effective cross‑functional collaborator with product and engineering counterparts, building consensus, resolving debates and driving impactful outcomes.

An engaged member of your design organization whose focus is not only delivering quality user experiences but also shaping design culture and ways of working.

Preference for candidates with experience designing complex B2B SaaS solutions in industries such as HRTech, FinTech, etc.

Embodiment and demonstration of Remote’s core values.

Remote experience is considered a plus, not a requirement.

Key responsibilities

Lead compelling vision initiatives for your team and domain, influencing and visualising direction and opportunities for innovation.

Solve problems holistically with systems‑thinking, ensuring scalability and avoiding unnecessary variation in I.A. and experiences.

Communicate persuasively, weaving storytelling narratives around your work to bring peers on the journey while addressing critique efficiently.

Collaborate transparently, sharing work with the wider organisation to solicit frequent feedback and identify cross‑domain collaboration opportunities.

Advocate use of our design system Norma, improving it and contributing back where appropriate.
