Field Property Claims Adjuster – North Fayetteville, AR
Location:
North Fayetteville, AR (remote field role with travel to policyholder homes). Candidates must reside in the Northern Fayetteville area.
Starting Wage:
$25.37 per hour, with additional compensation based on experience.
This position is a full‑time field role that requires traveling to and from policyholder residences to investigate property damage, determine liability, evaluate losses, and negotiate settlements. The role involves independence, strong customer service, and extensive field work.
Responsibilities
Conduct virtual and on‑site investigations to assess property damage and determine liability.
Use claims handling software, company vehicle, and laptop to write paperless estimates.
Evaluate and report subrogation opportunities.
Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate agencies.
Represent Farmers in public interactions, maintaining a professional demeanor.
Engage with stakeholders such as policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, investigators, attorneys, and medical professionals.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer‑service experience, preferably retail.
Construction or insurance experience preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and smartphones.
Willingness to learn insurance policies and property damage assessment.
Outgoing personality, comfortable interacting with diverse individuals.
Valid driver’s license, bonded, and subject to a motor vehicle record background check.
Fluent Spanish and English is desirable for additional pay.
Willingness to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and travel.
Physical Demands and Environment
Bend, kneel, pull, push, sort, carry up to 50 lbs., climb, reach, stand, walk, see.
Speak, read, write, and type in English.
Work in uncontrolled outdoor conditions, noise, chemicals, moving parts, and hazardous areas; exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, oil, smoke, soot, or poor ventilation.
