The Opportunity The Sr. Salon Stylist is located at the AG Retail Chicago location and reports directly to the Sales Manager. This position is responsible for delivering Girl Hair Salon services, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be

Provide girl and doll salon services to customers that ensure a high-level experience at American Girl.

Perform a broad range of styles and must be able to work with a variety of hair lengths, types, and textures. Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and services knowledge necessary to effectively provide services to meet the needs of our guests.

Answer guest questions, providing general customer assistance, styling Girl's hair according to company standards, resolving customer issues, conducting inventory of salon supplies, stocking area, cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining workspace, and communicating needs to management.

Training and certification will be provided to perform ear piercing services. Trained associates will follow ear piercing procedure checklist, complete waivers, and review After Care procedures with guests.

Responsible for supporting day to day activity in our reservations system, inventory, manage guest traffic/appointments, troubleshoot technical or guest related issues, and manage day to day operations of the business.

What We're Looking For

Valid Cosmetology license for hair and nails in practicing state.

Ability and experience to style hair in various hair styles and perform nail services.

Minimum of 2 years work experience as a hair stylist.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

High energy, experience in a fast-paced service environment with a passion for quality.

Organizational skills, inventory management, flexibility, and professional relationship skills are required.

Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills are essential.

Well-developed computer skills are essential; must be a skilled user of Microsoft Software (Excel, Outlook, and Word).

Experience working with children preferred.

Hourly The base hourly rate for this position is between $19 and $22.80. This range is indicative of projected hiring range; base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
