What will you be doing?
As a member of the Sports Medicine Sales Team, the TDR will work with a team within an assigned territory and hospital accounts. Within those accounts, the TDR will provide clinical case coverage in the operating room, secure inventory, observe, and consult the surgical team on Smith+N instrumentation and implants while completing logistical requirements associated with those cases. The position collaborates with Sales Reps, key orthopedic surgeons, hospital and OR staff, administrators, and clinicians. The role requires high technical knowledge related to surgery and procedures.

Your success relies on becoming a technical expert in the Sports Medicine portfolio through structured training and assessments, while building rapport with Sales Reps, leadership, surgeons, and hospital staff. You will develop a territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota. The role requires team orientation, high attention to detail, and flexibility to work untraditional hours.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years sales experience in medical device industry (preferred)
Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products
Proven track record selling/converting at the surgeon or hospital level
Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives
Travel Requirements:
within designated sales territory with 2–4 overnights a month; infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
All field sales professionals required to gain entry into healthcare facilities must complete the credentialing process and comply with facility requirements, including vaccine protocols.
Base compensation range: $55,000 – $65,000 USD annually, plus sales commission, incentives and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, parental leave, PTO, etc.
