Job Overview:

Under general supervision, responsible for professional credit union examination work of average difficulty, reviewing and analyzing financial statements and operations of credit unions in Tennessee to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field with at least nine semester hours of accounting/finance.

Three years of increasingly responsible full-time professional financial institution examination or auditing work.

Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Subject to criminal background check; must provide criminal history information.

Special Qualifications:

Valid motor vehicle operator's license required.

Responsibilities:

Build on examination knowledge base and evaluate financial key ratios to assess safety and soundness.

Interpret and explain policies, laws, and regulations to credit union management.

Determine initial CAMELS ratings and assess risk management policies.

Use financial statements and call report data to evaluate compliance with laws and standards.

Serve as Examiner in Charge and complete examinations per state law.

Analyze assets and liabilities; reconcile statements; examine earnings, dividends, and capital ratios.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of changing laws and regulations.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and examiners for clarity on tasks.
