Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles, including interviewing, background checks, and onboarding.
Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and manufacturing-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA).
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, addressing shop floor issues.
Oversee the administration of benefits programs, payroll processing support, and leave management for a diverse workforce across shifts.
Facilitate and track employee training and development initiatives, including safety training, skill development, and compliance courses relevant to manufacturing operations.
Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs, emphasizing safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.
Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data, generating reports as needed for workforce analysis and compliance.
Recommended Qualifications
Comprehensive HR Generalist experience including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration.
Proven experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, understanding operational demands and workforce dynamics.
Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA compliance and HR best practices relevant to manufacturing.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues, investigations, and performance management.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and generating HR reports.
Bonus Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization projects
