HR Manager | Allegan, MI
Salary Range:
$85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.
Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures across multiple shifts.
Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll, including shift differentials and overtime calculations.
Identify and coordinate training and development programs, focusing on safety, skills enhancement, and leadership development.
Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans for manufacturing staff.
Collaborate with EHS to foster a strong safety culture and manage workplace injury reporting and return-to-work programs.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience (5+ years) in HR management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for a production workforce.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma awareness.
Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish).
Experience with HRIS/ERP systems common in manufacturing environments (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday).
OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
