The City of Northwood is accepting applications for the position of
Zoning Inspector . Under the direction of the Director of Planning, Zoning & Economic Development, this full-time position is responsible for enforcing the City’s zoning codes, property maintenance standards, and land-use regulations. The role includes field inspections, reviewing permit applications, investigating complaints, and working directly with residents, contractors, and developers to ensure compliance with municipal ordinances.
Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications, and the City offers a full benefits package.
Minimum Qualifications
Training and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge of land-use practices, zoning regulations, and inspection procedures. Ability to read site plans, interpret zoning requirements, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively.
A valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
