Die Service Machinist - Punch Press - 3rd Shift -- 10:00PM-6:00AM - Pay based on Experience. Sign on Bonus; Retention Bonus. Work around powered industrial vehicles and around oil and chemicals. What You’ll Do Responsibilities
All job functions required in shop: lathe, mills, grinders, etc. Die setting Perform adjusting and tool replacement as needed to ensure quality parts Ability to work overtime Complete tooling changes and die service as needed Set up and operate various types of tool room and punch press equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose forming problems with progressive stamping dies on bench and in press Complete general maintenance and cleaning on dies Operate die cart and crane to move dies Emphasis in stampings and six month press die set up or machine repair experience preferred Operate PIV Work with and understand blueprints with close tolerance Maintain housekeeping standards Ability to work overtime as needed Any other duties as assigned by supervisor Grinding Tool design and hand sharpening (cutting tools) Upkeep of machines, minor maintenance Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Basic computer skills to enter data and look up job information 7+ years in a tool shop environment; machinist courses at tech school or schooling in progress Emphasis in stampings and six month press die set up or machine repair experience preferred CNC experience, able to do some programming Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply and divide); practical application of percentages and ratios Practical algebra, geometric construction and essentials of trigonometry Ability to interpret technical instructions and communicate information between tool design and manufacturing Problem solve with engineering team on die design and improvement recommendations Walking, standing, bending, use of hands, arms and fingers, reaching, feeling and grasping Use of eyes to visually inspect and adjust machines Lifting and carrying 5-35 pounds regularly; occasionally lifting 35+ pounds with crane assistance What You’ll Receive
