Punch Press Setup/Operator – 2nd Shift – 2:00pm‑10:00pm Starting at $20.75/hour + shift differential, with signing and retention bonuses. You’ll work the 2nd shift, 2:00‑10:00pm, in our Montpelier, IN facility.

Responsibilities

Operate punch presses and complete all die set‑ups.

Read and use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

Adjust and replace components to maintain product quality.

Load steel and move scrap and finished parts from machinery.

Operate PIV to deliver tubs and raw material to machinery.

Use cranes to move steel throughout the department.

Operate die cart for loading/unloading and transporting dies.

Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.

Work overtime as needed.

Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

General mechanical knowledge and ability.

Experience with forklift operation.

Experience operating overhead cranes.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division of units).

Common sense for following work instructions.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Basic computer skills for data entry and searching information.

Analytical skills for evaluating and solving die and press problems.

Ability to walk, stand, reach, bend, climb, push, pull and lift weights ranging from 5‑25 lbs regularly and 25‑65 lbs occasionally with assistance.

Visual inspection skill to use eyes effectively.

Ability to work a full 8‑hour shift with occasional overtime.
