Tool and Die Maker - Automotive Stamping
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in Fountain Inn, SC, is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician with a focus on automotive stamping. The ideal candidate will have strong abilities in troubleshooting, stamping operations, and a solid foundation in both electrical and mechanical systems.
Job Summary
$36.50 hourly plus $1.00 shift premium
2nd Shift 3:15 pm – 11:45 pm
3rd Shift 11:30 pm – 7:45 am
Full Time / Direct Hire

Responsibilities
Maintain and repair tooling and dies used in automotive stamping operations.
Build or repair all types, sizes, and shapes of tools, dies, fixtures, and jigs.
Assemble and test complex tools and dies on manufacturing equipment as required for production.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with stamping equipment and processes.
Perform preventive maintenance on dies and stamping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or General Education (GED).
Completion of a formal apprenticeship program with journeyman card or equivalent to 8 years’ experience.
Experience with stamping equipment and processes in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Excellent problem‑solving skills such as 8D and 5 Why.
Experience with teardown, repairs, and reassembling tooling.
