Mortgage lenders send independent contractors to update properties. The inspection verifies property occupancy and reports general condition using a mobile application. Responsibilities
Most inspections are exterior only and take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after assignment. Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards. Take 9+ photos with brief comments. Complete a short form in the app. Drive extended periods while making numerous stops during the day. Requirements
Computer with internet connection Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage) Smartphone (Android or iPhone) Printer Standard background check with valid driving license Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. You will earn the equivalent of $30–$40 per hour. Depending on the county and urban/rural, you will complete anywhere from 20–500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. No set amount; work is consistent month-to-month. Location
