Currently seeking a

Surety Underwriter Trainee

to learn to generate profitable growth of our surety lines of business including production, underwriting, sales and service. The selected candidate will assist other underwriters and learn to develop and maintain positive agency relationships. The selected candidate will work remotely from the Keene, NH area during the training period, (up to 18 months).

The salary range for this position is $24.80-$38.19 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field. NOTE: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.

Two years of entry‑level experience in the financial field.

Ability to analyze financial information, credit reports, contracts, and underlying bond obligations.

Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision‑making.

Ability to determine customer needs, provide solutions and price business appropriately.

Agree to actively pursue AFSB designation.
