Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for accurately preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses. This role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position has flexibility to be part-time or full-time or seasonal, and is an in-office position.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Collect and analyze financial information to prepare accurate tax returns.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations by staying up to date on changes in tax laws.
Communicate with clients to gather additional information and address any tax-related questions.
Identify tax deductions and credits to minimize clients' tax liability.
Maintain confidentiality of client information and sensitive financial data.
Meet deadlines and prioritize workload effectively to deliver high-quality work.
Pay scale - $30-$40/hour, DOE
