Overview Our client is seeking a dedicated Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the Documentation Support team supporting application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Location / Pay Charlotte, North Carolina | $46.57/hr What's the Job? Develop and maintain user-friendly documentation for applications transitioning from legacy systems to modern platforms. Assist in creating onboarding guides and reference materials to facilitate quick understanding of application functionality and ecosystem placement. Document installation processes and assess their potential impact on applications. Collaborate with technical teams to gather accurate information and ensure documentation reflects current workflows and modernization updates. Support knowledge transfer for approximately 45 applications across multiple teams, ensuring documentation is organized, accessible, and aligned with modernization goals. Requirements 2–4 years of experience as a Technical Writer in technology or software environments. Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, concise documentation suitable for diverse audiences. Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms; experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multiple teams. Exposure to application modernization projects or legacy-to-modern migrations is preferred.
