The City of Roseville Parks Recreation & Libraries department is seeking a dedicated and organized Recreation Coordinator who will work alongside a team to oversee all aspects of three aquatics facilities within the City of Roseville. This position includes, but is not limited to, overseeing lifeguard staff, operational budget, swim lesson programs, special events, and community outreach. They work closely with other department leaders to maintain exceptional experiences for patrons, while making safety a top priority.

Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of three aquatics facilities within the City of Roseville.

Supervise lifeguard staff, manage the operational budget, swim lesson programs, special events, and community outreach.

Collaborate with other department leaders to maintain exceptional experiences for patrons while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

Recreation Coordinator I

Experience:

One year of professional experience in recreation program development and implementation desirable.

Training:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment; possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid and CPR Certifications as issued by the American Red Cross within 6 months of hire.

Recreation Coordinator II

Experience:

Two years of professional experience performing duties similar to that of a Recreation Coordinator I with the City of Roseville.

Training:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

License or Certificate:

Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment; possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid and CPR Certifications as issued by the American Red Cross within 6 months of hire.

Selection process

All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a Formula Rate Examination. Supplemental questions may be used to inform interview and selection determinations. Final appointment is contingent upon references, background checks, and any required pre-employment examinations or clearances as applicable. Some positions may require additional background checks and security considerations with potential limitations on access until clearance is achieved.
