Responsibilities
Reviews and evaluates sales order requirements/specifications to configure and/or develop solutions.
Works with Sales and potentially the customer to resolve requirements.
Collaborates with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawings.
Acts as the technical lead on assigned projects.
Engages with internal groups such as Assembly, Procurement and field technicians during startup to resolve issues.
Works with Sales and Applications Engineering.
Approves project release to Manufacturing.
Works with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues encountered during build.
Works as part of a project team to deliver cost‑effective, manufacturable designs.
Provides updates on project status and timeline.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years in:
Designing and developing electro‑mechanical equipment.
Designing sheet metal products.
Development, design and engineering of mechanical‑electrical systems using both 2D and 3D CAD software (Creo preferred).
OEM design activities.
Bill of materials (BOMs).
Casting, compressors, pumps and/or motors.
Project management.
Nice to Have
Electrical testing experience.
Knowledge in noise attenuation (fan silencers).
Customer interfacing experience.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience.
Understanding of seismic, wind and vibration calculations.
Work Environment Recently opened a new office near the manufacturing facility. The role will involve working on a team with a dozen engineers: 90% of the day will be spent at a desk and 10% on the manufacturing floor.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Seven Hills, OH.
Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 – $58.00/hr. Eligible benefits for this temporary role may include:
