No prior experience in the waste industry? No worries! We are enthusiastic about training the right individual. Our schedule is Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional Saturdays, averaging around 45 hours per week. You will begin with a pay rate of

$28/hr

, along with annual pay increases and opportunities for bonuses. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste. Previous waste experience is advantageous but not a requirement.

Follow route sheets and ensure service to all customers assigned by the dispatcher.

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

Engage in physically demanding tasks, such as loading and unloading waste, often with minimal assistance.

Use hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse, disposing of trash at specified facilities.

Interact courteously with customers and handle other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The job requires extensive physical activity, including lifting, pushing, or pulling items over 50 pounds.

Work involves exposure to physical risks from moving mechanical parts, necessitating basic safety precautions.

Be prepared for outdoor weather conditions, including wet and humid environments, along with potential exposure to fumes and vibrations.

Minimum Job Requirements: Valid Class B CDL with an air brakes endorsement.

Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview).

Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions is preferred, but not mandatory.

A minimum of 1 year relevant driving experience is required.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
