About the Role Serves as a liaison between Loan Officers, Clients, and Processors to ensure all requirements are met to service client needs. This role is essential to the smooth operations of our Mortgage Lending team and includes both client interaction and back‑office work. The role does not take applications or conduct business as an MLO. The position is located in Rapid City, SD.
What You Will Do
Review 1003 forms to ensure all necessary fields are completed.
Thoroughly complete file contacts.
Review disclosure tracking to confirm disclosure dates match actual dates disclosed.
Confirm residency years, employer years, cash to close, and other requirements.
Contact agents to determine title or survey preferences.
Request documents from 3rd parties such as realtors, insurance agents, CPAs.
Ensure disclosures are mailed or electronically delivered within time parameters.
Ensure required documentation is received in a timely manner and follow up as necessary.
Follow up on appraisal assignments and title work to ensure timely return.
Review lock, property address, county, loan amount, LTV, escrow waivers, rate, borrower names, and FICO scores; update as necessary during processing.
Communicate and update the system to ensure tracking of all items for Processor, Loan Officer, and Closer.
Ensure documents in the file are complete, all required pages are included, and are legible or executed.
Place items in the unassigned folder for review by Processor.
Submit a reviewed file to the Processor for completed review and preparation for underwriting.
Provide regular updates to Loan Officers and Processors on the status of applications in progress.
Monitor Loan Officer “pipelines” to ensure closing dates are met.
Complete adverse processes for the Loan Officer within the system.
Assist in preparation of closing and sales call reports.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
2+ years of experience in a processing or origination‑related role preferred.
Preference given to candidates with administrative assistant background or mortgage experience.
Associate’s degree preferred, but not required.
Strong organization skills required.
Working knowledge of DocuSign or ability to learn the program.
